G.S.T (Guidance Support Team) The Guidance Support Team consists of the Supervisor of Special Education, School Psychologist, Special Education Department Chairperson, principal, counselors, social workers and other professional staff members. The goal of the team is to provide parents/guardians with additional educational resources for particularly challenging situations.
SAP (Student Assistance Program) The Student Assistance Program provides help for students who are experiencing difficulties because of emotional and/or substance abuse problems. Parents/guardians, teachers, and other students are able to make confidential referrals.
NOVA (Network of Victims Association) The National Organization for Victim Assistance is a private, non-profit, organization of victim and witness assistance programs. NOVA
Delaware Valley Children’s Center (DVCC) DVCC provides school based counseling services for our interested students. They also provide wraparound services for the child at home along with access to a psychiatrist services when medication needs to be prescribed. DVCC
Mediation and Support Groups When a student has a personal conflict with another student(s), his/her guidance counselor can offer them the opportunity to peacefully resolve the issue through mediation.
Sometimes our students experience a great sadness or difficult time in their life, such as an illness or death in the family and would benefit from being a member of a support group.
